Shannon Prahl, MSW, LCSW, is the Clinical Supervision Program Manager at the MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (MAPS PBC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit.  As Clinical Supervision Program Manager, Shannon oversees the development and implementation of programs that provide clinical supervision to therapists who have completed the MDMA Therapy Training Program and are delivering MDMA-assisted therapy.

Shannon’s career reflects her love of learning and commitment to engaging others in their ongoing development and growth.  She is a licensed psychotherapist and works with a diverse caseload of clients in a private practice setting.  She holds a Professional Educator License and has worked with children and families in the school setting.  Shannon has an extensive background in clinical supervision, overseeing clinical supervision programs at Aurora University and Loyola University Chicago. At Aurora University Shannon served as adjunct professor, teaching graduate courses in the School of Social Work.  Shannon is inspired by the healing possibilities of psychedelic assisted therapy and is excited to be part of the team working to bring this new pathway to healing to all who may benefit.

Shannon earned her MSW from Loyola University Chicago in the field of Clinical Social Work and received her B.A. from North Central College in the fields of Psychology and Sociology.  Her passion for expansion, growth, and healing is expressed through additional coursework in Naturopathy, Geology and her certification and ongoing training in Reiki and other methods of healing and energy work.  Shannon loves the outdoors and is inspired by new adventures.
