
Sam McQuiston
Director of GxP Auditing
Sam McQuiston earned a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2014 from Kenyon College and a dual degree in Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs and Master of Law from the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT) and the Carey School of Law at the University of Pennsylvania, respectively. Prior to joining MAPS Public Benefit Corporation, Sam was an Associate Director of Compliance in the Office of Clinical Research in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. There he focused on collaborating with clinical department leaders, institutional offices, and faculty to support and facilitate clinical research at the University. Sam also brings years of industry experience from working in Quality Assurance at Avid Radiopharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Eli Lilly.
At MAPS PBC, Sam is currently serving as Director of GxP Auditing and responsible for managing the risk-based audit program for internal and external audits for compliance to MAPS PBC policies, procedures, and GxP regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities include contributing to scheduling, contracting, reviewing reports, CAPA tracking, and maintaining compliance metrics for GLP, GCP, and pharmacovigilance audits for pivotal clinical programs, vendors, and systems. Sam's own core values strongly align with MAPS/MPBC’s core values, making him ecstatic to be a part of such a focused team. In his free time, Sam loves spending time with his wife Lea, daughter Cecelia, and their dogs, as well as cooking, working out, and surfing.
