Kelsea Brown

Clinical Research Associate (CRA)

Kelsea earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and behavior in 2015 from the University of New Hampshire and is working towards a master’s in clinical mental health counseling. Kelsea first became involved with MAPS as a night attendant, providing care for participants in MDMA-Assisted therapy studies. She went on to become a study coordinator for a U.S. MDMA Therapist Training study. Prior to joining MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (MAPS PBC), she was an operations coordinator for a CSA organization, working to promote food equity and accessibility in the Charleston area by bridging the gap between local farmers and communities with limited access to affordable, nutritious food. Additionally, for six months prior to joining MAPS PBC she worked towards earning a Permaculture Design Certification through Ecoversity of Costa Rica.

At MAPS PBC, Kelsea is currently serving as a clinical research associate, supporting the clinical operations of multiple MDMA studies. She is committed to making psychedelic medicines accessible and is specifically passionate about exploring MDMA’s capacity for facilitating personal growth, meaningful connections, and conflict resolution. Kelsea is filled with gratitude to be involved in the healing work that MAPS/MAPS PBC is carrying out. In her free time, she can be found dancing, painting, gardening, and spending time in her converted bus/camper.
