Julie Wang, M.P.H., Ph.D., is a data scientist with clinical research expertise in public health interventions. Her dissertation and research fellowship focused on developing and testing IoT solutions in both clinical and real-world settings to promote, measure, and analyze lifestyle behaviors (i.e., diet, physical activity, and smoking cessation). Dr. Wang completed further training in data science at General Assembly in San Francisco to advance analytic skillsets in working with large and complex mobile/ digital datasets. At MAPS PBC, Dr. Wang provides scientific expertise on peer-reviewed publications and data use agreements to develop new pipelines and facilitate the company's Open Science goals. In addition, she oversees statistical programming to support clinical safety reviews. Education: B.A. in Liberal Arts/ Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution and MPH (Global Health Promotion) at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.; Ph.D. in Public Health (Behavioral Science) at UC San Diego/ SDSU in La Jolla/ San Diego, CA; and post-doctoral research fellowship at UC San Francisco in San Francisco, CA.
