Emmett Henderson
Clinical Data Manager
Emmett earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and music performance in 2013 from Carnegie Mellon University, a master’s degree in health outcomes research in 2017 from Saint Louis University, and a Ph.D. in public health in 2020 from the University of Pittsburgh. His research examined how complex social factors such as stigma and social support affect our mental and physical well-being. Prior to joining MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (MAPS PBC), Emmett worked in an academic research setting where he developed a broad skillset including clinical trial design, data management and analysis, and scientific writing. He is passionate about the potential of psychedelic-assisted therapy to be an accessible and effective tool for healing, and is thrilled to be able to contribute to the expansion of this research.
In Emmett’s free time he can be found in nature, doing any form of movement, reading a book, and spending time with his partner and dogs.
