Daryn Frederick

Clinical Study Assistant (CSA)

Daryn Frederick earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in sociology from the University of Idaho in 2018. Prior to joining the MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (MAPS PBC), Daryn worked as a behavioral health technician where she provided in-home, clinic, and community based developmental therapy to children and adults with disabilities. Daryn also spent a year as an ESL teacher in Trang, Thailand teaching English to kindergarten and primary aged students. Along with her work in behavioral therapy and ESL education, Daryn spent time volunteering as a Guardian ad Litem for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). As a GAL, she advocated in the community and court room for the best interests of children in protective care of the state.

At MAPS PBC, Daryn is currently serving as a Clinical Study Assistant, focusing on the Phase 2 MDMA-assisted psychotherapy studies for patients diagnosed with eating disorders. She is passionate about helping others and supporting them on their journey to mental well-being. Daryn joined MPBC to be a part of an organization dedicated to pioneering treatment for mental health disorders, affordable and accessible resources, and ending the stigma on mental illness.

In Daryn’s free time she enjoys exploring new places, attending concerts, being in the mountains, and spending time with her friends and family. But her favorite thing is to cuddle up with her puppy and a good TV show.
