Ashley Long

Clinical Research Associate

Ashley Long earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with honors in 2020 from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Prior to joining the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (MAPS PBC), Ashley worked in a variety of occupations, most recently immersed in the field of sustainable agriculture which has inspired her desire to seek and devise affordable, sustainable, and innovative approaches to mental health and wellness.

At MAPS PBC, Ashley is currently a Clinical Research Associate on the Phase 3 Pivotal Team. Ashley recently joined this team after serving in her role as eTMF Associate where she spent her time focusing on the implementation of an archival system for past studies and the filing and management of current studies. She is thrilled to be a part of a team exploring groundbreaking treatment methods for a variety of the problems society currently faces - in particular, the management of substance use and PTSD.

Ashley joined MAPS/MAPS PBC to learn more about the development of clinical interventions and become more involved in creating what she sees as methodologies which will be invaluable to future treatment protocols.

Ashley believes that the work being done at MAPS is going to afford access to mental health care to a greater number of at-risk individuals in a rapid and financially sound manner that is not currently available.

In Ashley’s free time she loves organic gardening, traveling, surfing, homesteading, biking, and running trails with her two dogs.
